Where else could the Accent Home Care Social Support Group go when it was too wet and windy to aim for an outdoor venue? Firstly to “The Naked Racer” Cafe in Moorabbin for morning tea. Well, what a pleasant surprise that was. It was motorbike and curios heaven! There were motorbikes and “weird” things from oldest to the latest models, and I decided there and then that I want a ride on a Harley Davidson on my 90th birthday!! The atmosphere and the service were such that we want to go back there. The second dry indoor venue was the Moorabbin Airport Museum. Our very friendly and interesting guide Ron introduced us to all the aeroplanes which used to be built in Australia. Yes, Australia used to be right up there with manufacturing. Everyone had a go on the simulator, and some of us managed a crash landing. Great fun! The next venue was the Cheltenham RSL where we enjoyed a delicious lunch. Ulli and Kerstin, thank you very much for taking such good care of us. A gold star for you!
