This is a pivotal role combining business development, stakeholder engagement, and client relationship management—ideal for someone who thrives on building connections and creating meaningful impact in the community. In addition, this role will be responsible for managing a team of staff who engage with potential clients and drive sales activities, ensuring consistent performance, quality engagement, and achievement of growth targets.
This Business Development Manager role offers an attractive remuneration package, including a competitive base salary and performance-based incentives aligned to sales outcomes. As part of a not-for-profit organisation there are additional benefits of $15,900 salary packaging per FBT year which significantly reduce your taxable income.
Key Responsibilities
Drive new business growth within the home care sector with a focus on Support at Home
Build and maintain strong referral networks with hospitals, GPs, case managers, discharge planners, community organisations, and allied health professionals
Lead, coach, and manage a team responsible for engaging with potential clients to drive sales outcomes by managing workflow
Ensure the team has actioned all warm leads in the CRM pipeline of prospective clients, ensuring effective tracking and conversion of leads
Ensure the team prepares participants along the customer journey for a smooth transition from initial intake to the commencement of home care services
Track the team’s performance against key performance indicators (KPI) and maintain accurate Customer Relationship Management software/data
Collaborate with the marketing team to understand industry trends, competitor activity, and local community needs to identify growth opportunities and inform business strategy
Works with the marketing team to represent the organisation at industry events, expos, and community forums
Track and report on KPIs, including referrals, conversions, and client growth
Contribute to the development and execution of strategic growth initiatives and service expansion plans.
About You
Proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management (aged care or healthcare highly regarded)
Strong understanding of the home care sector
Demonstrated success in lead generation, conversion, and building referral networks
Experience managing or leading a sales or business development team
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Highly organised, proactive, and results-driven
Ability to build long-term, professional relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
Proven history of meeting or exceeding KPIs/sale targets.
Willingness to travel across the region as required
Requirements:
Current Victorian Driver’s Licence + own insured vehicle
Current Police Check (within the last 12 months)
Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
