Transferring From Another Provider
You have a choice with your Government-funded home care package, who provides the services, and when. If you are unhappy with your current provider, you can easily change to Accent Home Care.

Private services
Private in-home care service
If you need home help, personal care, or home services, however, you do not have a Government-funded home care package, we can assist you with our private services. Social support group
Accent Home Care has been providing social support for more than 15 years, through our Social Support Group, which caters mainly to people of non-English speaking backgrounds living within the wider Knox Community. Our clients are diverse in language and culture, ensuring our outings are full of fun and variety!
About Our Social Support Group
Our Social Support Group provides a supportive and relaxed environment for clients to attend outings they may not be able to attend on their own. We encourage independence and interaction on our outings while accommodating the interests and needs of our clients.
How can I join Accent Home Care’s Social Support Group?
Step 1
Arrange a ‘My Aged Care assessment’, by calling My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or by visiting myagedcare.gov.au.
Step 2
Make sure you ask to be referred to Accent Home Care.

Excursions
Our excursions are arranged around the interests and abilities of our wonderful clients. We like to visit places in and around the Knox Municipality, the Yarra Ranges, Bayside, the City, and surrounding areas. Our clients like to visit cafes, art galleries, beaches, parks and enjoy catching up with a coffee around an open fire or listening to a live entertainer.
Accent Home Care’s social support program aims to meet a wide variety of needs and interests in a manner that promotes participation and enjoyment whilst encouraging independence. All groups are run by experienced and qualified staff who are there to assist you and ensure you enjoy your outing.
We have a community bus and can arrange door-to-door pick-up and drop-off. The Social Support Group runs Monday to Friday between 9 am to 3 pm.
